Don’t you love when things just work out?

About 2.5 weeks ago an old high school friend’s name popped up on my computer screen and I knew I had to “be-friend” him… After a few quick messages I learned that he lived in the same state as me (nearly 12 hours from our homeland) and he was expecting his first child. To my amazement, 2 weeks later I got a message that he would be traveling my way and would like for me to take some pictures of his beautiful new daughter. After 12 years (are we THAT old?!) it was such a true blessing to catch up with a good friend, his beautiful wife, AND absolutely adorable baby girl. Baby “M” was so precious, tiny, and sweet - a perfect little model; just 10 days old and so peaceful.

I look forward to spending more time my old - new friends again soon. Don’t you love it when things just work out?

Today I had the opportunity to take some maternity shots for a dear friend. She is 39 weeks pregnant and absolutely glowing - I love maternity pictures!!

Her daughter is one of my daughter’s best friends (they are 6 weeks apart in age). Her new baby will be 6 weeks younger than my second child too! I think they were made to be best friends!! We can’t wait to meet Baby V in a couple of days! I hope you enjoy your preview!

I have to start this post by assuring you that the pictures you are about to see are infact of a REAL family. They aren’t models that I hand-picked for that perfect looking family. They are real and they are sweet. I was so happy to share the evening with this special family - we had a great time and I love the images we were able to capture. Thanks so much “B” family! Okay, I know that I’m taking the theme a little out of the box but this has truly been our summer!!! We have been on vacation and it seems that this particular “splash” has become the most integral part of our trip! Oh potty training!!! I’m just so glad that it is summer so she can be “al natural”.
